Patient Stories
Meet some of the patients whose lives have been changed by focused ultrasound technology.
Lord Julian Fellowes | Essential Tremor
Lord Julian Fellowes, Oscar-winning screenwriter and acclaimed creator of Downton Abbey and The Gilded Age, recently revealed that he underwent focused ultrasound therapy to treat his essential tremor (ET).
Paul Sayer | Prostate Cancer
After he was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer, Paul’s doctors recommended a prostatectomy. He reached out to another physician and found out he was a candidate for focused ultrasound. After a successful procedure, Paul has turned his diagnosis into a campaigning charity, Prost8 UK.
Leonardo and Cesare | Twin-Twin Transfusion Syndrome
An Italian couple, Martina and Claudio, were expecting twins in 2023 and learned that there was a concerning discrepancy in the size of the two foetuses. A focused ultrasound clinical trial corrected the twin-twin transfusion syndrome, and the boys were born healthy.
