UK Research Overview

Focused ultrasound is being investigated in a wide range of therapy areas, often where there are currently poor outcomes for patients and a need for new treatment options.  Key areas of research in the UK include a range of cancers (including brain tumours, pancreatic cancer and neuroblastoma), neurodegenerative diseases (such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia), psychiatric conditions (such as depression and addiction) and rare conditions such as Twin-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS).
